From the First Training to the World Championship.» Below, at the left edge of the stand in a red rectangular area: «First Competitions.» Further on is the inscription: «Sambo Tournament between Blind and Sighted Wrestlers.» On the right side: 2011. Below, in the center of the stand, from top to bottom, there is a group photo of thirteen participants with award cups, medals and certificates, and two tournament judges. Then, in a red rectangle, there is an inscription: «Sambo for the Blind is not only an effective technique that allows you to improve your body control in conditions of severe vision impairment, it is also an exciting fight that gives you an incentive to move forward. We need tournaments, we need a competitive spirit, we need to try our hand at fights not only during training, we need sports victories.» Below in the red rectangle there is an inscription: «OUR EXPERIENCE and RESULTS: these were the first sambo competitions with the participation of blind and visually impaired wrestlers. It was for this social project that amendments were made to the current sambo rules for athletes without disabilities: special actions of the referee were included and the beginning of the fight was prescribed — a «sleeve-lapel» grip. The rules were worked out in the mode of these first small competitions, and on their basis the official rules for sambo for the blind and visually impaired were created, which are still in effect. The project turned out to be interesting, the first photos and videos appeared on the Internet and on television, so for the first time sambo for the blind appeared in the information space.» At the bottom edge of the stand in the center there are two photographs: the first is a shot of the tournament participants fighting, the second — the coaches and judges of the tournament Evgeny Gatkin and Viktor Ignatenko in the uniform of sambo judges. At the left edge of the stand, sequentially from top to bottom are: a photograph of the certificate and medals of the tournament, a photograph of Roman Novikov discussing organizational issues. Then the inscription from Roman’s interview: «It was very interesting to hold an unconventional event, one that can hardly be held officially for the development of sports, to gain new experience — on the one hand. And on the other — to hold competitions specifically in sambo for the blind, to draw attention to a new type of wrestling that the blind and visually impaired can successfully practice.» Below the inscription: «Author of the idea, tournament organizer Roman Novikov.» Next is a photo of journalists working at the tournament. At the right edge of the stand, photos from the tournament are arranged sequentially from top to bottom: photos of the participants wrestling, in the next photo, journalists interview coaches and organizers. Then a shot of the participants wrestling — a painful hold, a photo of the beginning of the fight — a cuffed sleeve. Next is a photo of the participants wrestling, a photo of the judges and tournament participants before the start of the competition.
